Roger Herst

Roger Herst (est. birth – 1975?, San Francisco, CA) is an American author and ordained Reform Rabbi with a doctorate in Middle Eastern history, best known for his Rabbi Gabrielle mystery series. 

The Rabbi Gabrielle Series follows the adventures and growth of Rabbi Gabrielle “Gabby” Lewyn from her first job as a neophyte rabbi in Washington DC. to a mature biblical scholar in Israel. It goes behind the scenes of the clerical life of an unmarried female in a profession once dominated by men. As she encounters taxing conflicts, readers will experience a pattern of thinking generally not seen in pulpit ministers, including a carefully guarded sex life.
