Limor Nachmias

Limor Nachmias (born 1964, Haifa, and resides in Tel Aviv) – Israeli author and screenwriter. Before her literary career, Nachmias studied acting and psychology and worked as a private investigator, a background that often informs her gritty and humorous crime novels. She transitioned into writing in the mid-1990s and has since become a major figure in Israeli television, creating and writing for popular “telenovelas” and dramas. Her literary work often features female protagonists in dark, satirical, or criminal setting. She has published more than 7 books, including crime novels, screenplays and children’s literature, but none of them has so far been translated into English. Her crime novels include:

Ima Hayetah Zohelet (Mother was Crawling, 1995): Her debut novel, which established her reputation for creating “bad-girl” protagonists and exploring the darker underbelly of Israeli urban life.

Tzvutoti (Pinch Me, 1996): This is arguably her most famous novel.
