Jacob M. Appel

Jacob M. Appel (born 1973) – a modern polymath—an American author, bioethicist, physician, lawyer, and social critic. He is primarily recognized for his prolific output in literature and his specialized medical work in psychiatry and ethics.  In addition to writing numerous books and short stories, he is the Director of Ethics Education in Psychiatry and a professor at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City.
