Charlotte MacLeod

Charlotte MacLeod  (1922–2005) was a prolific Canadian-American author celebrated as a master of the “cozy” mystery. Born in Bath, New Brunswick, Canada, she moved to the United States with her family as an infant in 1923. Her 12-volume Sarah Kelling & Max Bittersohn Series is set among Boston’s “upper crust” and follows the investigations of socialite Sarah Kelling and Jewish art detective Max Bittersohn.
